I'm interested in the motives behind the various actions people take in life. These things stay with me and become words, scenes, and thoughts. Then, I carve wood and make notes about these things. This in itself is a very personal act. But even in this kind of work, I sometimes think like this. "One day, while you're spending your time in the same place as usual, you notice that the air is flowing differently than usual, and when you turn your face in that direction, you see a window that wasn't there before. You can experience a slightly different view and atmosphere than usual." I hope that the shape and atmosphere of the works I create will act like this window, and that they will inspire people who see them to think in a slightly different way than they usually do. I'm interested in the motives behind the various actions people take in life. These things stay with me and become words, scenes, and thoughts. Then, I carve wood and make notes about these things. This in itself is a very personal act. But even in this kind of work, I sometimes think like this. "One day, while you're spending your time in the same place as usual, you notice that the air is flowing differently than usual, and when you turn your face in that direction, you see a window that wasn't there before. You can experience a slightly different view and atmosphere than usual." I hope that the shape and atmosphere of the works I create will act like this window, and that they will inspire people who see them to think in a slightly different way than they usually do.
